An endoscopy of the larynx and nasal passages is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure performed using a local, topical anesthetic. Endoscopy involves flexible camera, known as an endoscope, passing through the nostril to provide a detailed view of the nasal passages, sinuses and larynx.
A video feed allows the doctor to complete a thorough evaluation of inside of the nasal cavity and larynx. The results are digitally recorded and reviewed with the patient immediately after the procedure and aid in diagnosis.
