Meet Robin Najarian, Speech Pathologist at LA CENTA
Robin Najarian is an ASHA-certified and California state licensed Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in swallowing disorders.
Originally from the east coast, Robin received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Adelphi University, with a focus on acquired neurological disorders. She has been a guest speaker at universities and medical centers, covering various topics including Roles and Responsibilities of the Acute Care SLP, Updates in Dysphagia Management for the Head and Neck Cancer Population, and Dysphagia Management in the Neuro Critical Care Population.
With nearly a decade of experience in various medical settings, Robin leverages her extensive clinical knowledge to treat a wide spectrum of disorders, with a special interest in dysphagia diagnostics.
At LACENTA, Robin provides the following services:
Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) – Transnasal endoscopy to assess surface anatomy, pharyngeal swallow efficiency, and swallow safety (penetration/aspiration).
High Resolution Pharyngeal Manometry (HRPM) – Transnasal placement of a small catheter to assess pressures generated by the pharyngeal muscles required for safe and efficient swallow function.
Clinical Swallow Evaluation and Dysphagia Treatment – Evidence-based assessment and treatment methods to reduce disability and maximize functional abilities.
