In my time off, I love to explore my creative side through various realms! I spend most of my solo free time painting, sketching, or dancing. I have been a Kathak and Bollywood dancer for over 20 years and have found these art forms help me connect with my cultural roots while staying active and expressive. When I'm not dancing or creating art, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. I’m always eager to experience something new and enriching!
What defines your personality?
What defines my personality is my warmth and outgoing nature. I love meeting new people and making them feel comfortable and welcome — something I attribute to my background in psychology. I’m always eager to connect with others, whether through shared experiences or simply by being there to listen and offer support. I believe in creating positive, welcoming spaces wherever I go!
Why Did You Choose A Career In Medicine?
I have had many formative experiences since my adolescence that have driven my passion for practicing medicine. Whether it was volunteering in a maternity ward, going on a medical mission to Peru, or managing a scribe program during the COVID-19 pandemic, each step in my journey to becoming a PA has contributed to my passion for medicine. This profession makes me feel incredibly fulfilled and purposeful, which has always been my main focus when choosing a career. Every day, I have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives — whether it’s through providing relief, offering support, or simply listening. It’s a deeply rewarding experience to help patients feel better and improve their quality of life. The connection I build with them, and knowing that I’m helping them through sometimes difficult moments, is what truly makes this career so meaningful to me. It’s challenging at times, but the sense of impact and the gratitude from my patients make it all worth it.
Charities & Causes That You Are Passionate About?
I’m deeply passionate about supporting causes related to women's health, underserved populations, and hunger relief.
Favorite Procedures or Surgeries You Like to Perform
My favorite surgery to perform is a cesarean section. It's a beautiful mix of precision and excitement—helping bring a baby into the world while ensuring both mom and baby are safe and healthy!
Goals that you have either personally, professionally or both
Personally, I want to travel more, learn to cook a variety of cuisines, explore new places, and immerse myself in different cultures — all while navigating my new role as a wife! Additionally, I’d love to find time on weekends to teach Kathak and Bollywood dance to children.
Professionally, I’m eager to dive deeper into the ENT specialty and expand my knowledge and expertise. My ultimate goal is to provide my patients with true relief and to create an environment where they feel heard, supported, and excited to return for care. I want to be a trusted part of their healthcare journey and make a real difference in their lives!
Most influential mentor you've worked with
The most influential mentor I had the pleasure of working with was an OBGYN during my clinical rotations. She was incredibly passionate about teaching and always did her best to challenge me to think critically, guide me to become a better provider, and teach me to ask the "why." In medicine, a good provider understands the science behind diagnoses and can educate their patients, but a great provider will always go one step further to discover the "why" — the reason behind the science — in an attempt to provide more thorough care. She taught me to understand how multiple factors can contribute to a patient's symptoms and emphasized the importance of a thorough investigation when treating patients.
Credentials, Schools, Fellowships to include etc
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Westwood, CA. Building on this foundation, I pursued a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont, CA.
Do you speak another language?
I speak fluent Gujarati and conversational Hindi!
