Dr. Ran graduated magna cum laude with honors and research distinction from The Ohio State University, earning a degree in molecular genetics. She then pursued her medical degree and Ph.D. in genetics at Dartmouth College's Geisel School of Medicine. After her academic training, Dr. Ran completed her internship and residency in general surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She further specialized in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Corey S. Maas, president-elect of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), and Dr. David W. Kim.

Even after completing her formal education, Dr. Ran remains committed to staying current with the latest advancements and evidence-based practices in her field. She actively participates in clinical research and regularly presents at industry conferences.
