Dr. Celeste Nagy, MD, is a double board-certified otolaryngologist and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and completed her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Following her residency, Dr. Nagy pursued additional training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with Dr. Stephen Perkins at Meridian Plastic Surgery in Indianapolis, IN.
Dr. Nagy specializes in a variety of procedures, including septoplasty, rhinoplasty, facial feminization and masculinization, and aging face procedures. Why did you choose a career in medicine?
My father is a neurosurgical PA, and I was interested in surgery from an early age. Once I started volunteering in the hospital, it felt like a natural career path for me. My interest in surgery, specifically head and neck surgery, came into fruition during medical school. It's a fulfilling career where you are constantly learning, honing your surgical skills, and connecting with people on a very personal level. It is very empowering when your dedication and training allow others to put their trust in you, knowing that you bring your best every day.
Charities & Causes That You Are Passionate About
I perform facial gender affirmation surgery and advocate for LGBTQ rights. I am also passionate about women's rights and access to care in general. As a mother, I support educational causes for disadvantaged children.

Goals that you have either personally, professionally or both
Personally, I have a young son for whom I want to create wonderful experiences and educational opportunities. My husband and I also hope to travel to all four major Grand Slam tennis tournaments and visit a different country each year. Professionally, I aim to continue growing in my career and experience. I look forward to starting my professional career in Palm Springs, CA.
Most influential mentor you've worked with
During residency, my mentor was Dr. Merry Sebelik, an endocrine surgeon. She is an incredible surgeon and mother who performs thyroid surgeries during international mission trips and demonstrates seamless leadership. Another influential mentor for me is Dr. Stephen Perkins, my fellowship director. He is a highly talented facial plastic surgeon and a wonderful person. He showed me how to run a successful practice with multiple doctors and a large staff who thoroughly enjoyed coming to work every day.

I attended the University of South Carolina Honors College, where I earned a BA in Anthropology. After college, I spent a year in AmeriCorps teaching literacy to Spanish-speaking children. I then attended Baylor College of Medicine for medical school and completed my residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University. I pursued a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with Dr. Stephen Perkins at Meridian Plastic Surgery Center. I am double board-certified in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
